Heavy or extra-thick comforters: If your comforter is unusually heavy, extra-thick, or stuffed in a way that needs extra drying time, we add $10.
Down comforters: We strongly recommend dry cleaning for down. See below for the reasoning. But if you specifically want us to wash your down comforter in-house instead of routing it to dry cleaning, we will. The same $10 surcharge applies because down also needs the extended drying time.

Down Comforters - Why We Recommend Dry Cleaning
Down comforters are filled with feathers. And feathers do not wash and dry well with a standard laundering process. The fill clumps up. Worse, feathers can stay damp deep inside even after a full drying cycle, even when the outside feels completely dry. Damp feathers develop an unpleasant smell. It is the most common complaint we hear from customers who tried washing their down comforter.
Dry cleaning uses a solvent-based process that cleans down without saturating the feathers. The fill stays intact. The loft is preserved. No clumping. No smell. No risk of damp interior.
Some regular comforters should also be dry-cleaned. If your comforter has a fancy exterior (silk, embroidered fabric, delicate prints) dry cleaning protects the material better than even our oversized machines. Standard cotton, microfiber, and synthetic-fill comforters generally wash well in our facility. So when in doubt, just tell ask us. We will tell you which path makes sense for your specific comforter.

Most Long Island towns get next‑day delivery. You’ll see your exact delivery options when you schedule service. If the day you need isn’t available, give us a call and we’ll do our best to accommodate your schedule. Same-Day Comforter Cleaning at Our Glen Cove Facility

Same-day service is available depending on what time you drop off, the size of the load, and the amount of orders we already have for the day. - How much does it cost to clean a comforter?
Twin and Full comforters are $20. Queen and King comforters are $26. Other bedding items run from $10 to $15 each. Heavy or extra-thick comforters get a $10 surcharge for the extra-large washer and longer drying cycle. Pickup, delivery, and the reusable zippered storage bag are always included at no extra charge.
- How often should I clean my comforter?
Every three months is a good baseline for most households. More often if you have pets that sleep on the bed, family members with allergies, or kids who share the comforter. Less often is fine for guest bedrooms or comforters that rarely get used. Regular cleaning reduces allergens, dust mites, and the buildup that affects sleep quality.
- Can you wash large items like King comforters and weighted blankets?
Yes. King comforters, weighted blankets, duvets, and oversized quilts all wash properly in our commercial-grade oversized machines. We charge flat per-item pricing for these instead of pricing by the pound. Everything returns folded and packed in a free reusable zippered storage bag.
- Should I have my down comforter washed or dry-cleaned?
We strongly recommend dry cleaning for down comforters. Feathers do not dry well in standard washing and drying and the comforter can come back smelling unpleasant even when fully dried. - Do you remove pet hair, stains, and allergens?
Yes. Our commercial machines and hot water options handle pet dander, dust mites, and allergens deep in the fill. We cannot guarantee 100% removal on set-in or old stains, but we do our absolute best on every order.
- Can you clean comforters the same day?
